The largest of the five. King size beds, room enough for a family or a group of four sharing, and windows that open straight onto the trees. Mornings here begin with birdsong rather than an alarm.

The simplest room we have, without air-conditioning — which, from October to March, is rarely missed. It opens to the yard and is often the first room our returning walkers ask for.
